A mixture of sealed roads and dirt, this route only become accessible in 2010 and thus provides a great chance to see unspoiled areas in an eco-friendly way. We’ll wind our way higher and higher into the green mountains with deep blue skies and fluffy white clouds above, but don’t worry, your guide will always be there for you, and we’ll make sure that we proceed at whatever pace you desire. Stop often to savor your precious moments in this hidden corner of the country. You will be cycling for a half day at an altitude of 1.400-1.600m before descending into Lao Cai.   [Option 2] Sapa – Golden Stream Valley Meals: lunch | Accommodation: N/A This day trip offers a mixture of dirt roads, single track trails, some trekking with the bike and steep downhill freewheeling. Our route takes us through a variety of natural terrain as well as cycling between villages with a few trails running through a local house’s backyard (don’t worry, the easygoing locals don’t mind!). If you are the first rider to arrive in a village their jaws may drop to the ground, but by the time the last rider passes through everyone has come out of their homes and are bouncing up and down with excitement – as eager to meet and understand you as you are of them. Visiting different minority ethnic groups who live in remote area, spending a night in a home-stay of a Red Dzao family; enjoy beautiful scenery along the trip. Itinerary: Day 1: Sapa – Ban Ho – Thanh Phu – Sin Chai (L, D) Met up at your hotel in Sapa by Sapa local guide and driver then transferred to Ban Ho. We will trek through the scenic valley of “Ban Ho”. This is a village of Tay ethnic minority. The Tay preserve a traditional and fairly developed agriculture with cultivation of all kinds of plants including rice, maize and sweet potato as well as seasonable fruit and vegetables. Then we continue walking to Thanh Phu village where your lunch will be provided in a local house. After lunchtime, you head to Sin Chai village. This is a village of of Red Dao people. Dinner and overnight at the village. Approx: 1-hour driving/ 5 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch. Day 2: Sin Chai – Ben Den – Lao Cai (B, L) After breakfast, we will start our day with a long trek towards Lao Cai. The route from Sin Chai, one of the most remote area in Sapa offers beautiful scenery and landscape. The trek will take us through rice paddy fields, bamboo forest, old trees jungle. Your lunch will be provided at Nam Ket. After lunch, we will trek downhill. Upon arriving in Ta Thang village, a Tay village we will be greeted again by our driver who transfer us then to Laocai station for our journey back to Hanoi. End.
